He was born and brought up in Kanpur and completed his schooling there. He then did his bachelors in Information Systems from BITS. Thereafter he worked in various roles in consulting in Delhi/NCR as a software and an analytics specialist. Later he joined Mckinsey as a data scientist. To gain international exposure, he moved to Paris to pursue his MBA from HEC Paris (top MBA institute globally).
